Reality TV is one of the largest portions of popular culture in America today. Our society is obsessed with watching "real" things happen with "real" unscripted drama. Shows like The Jersey Shore, Wife Swap, 16 and Pregnant, Jail, and so many others. We crave knowledge and insight into other people's minds and lives. So many teenagers love seeing and poking fun at the struggling teen mothers in 16 and Pregnant. The Jersey Shore is on the air deliberately for people to laugh at and enjoy making fun of a group of young adult's crazy, and unnatural lifestyle. However, out of all of these shows, in my opinion, the craziest reality TV show would definitely have to be Survivor. If you think about these shows deep enough, you start to have that "what the hell?" moment. Take Survivor for example; we created a game-show for people to try and survive while performing tasks in order to gain trust from other players. That isn't the "WTH" moment. I think comedian Daniel Tosh put it best. "We have a game-show where we send people to survive in a place where PEOPLE ALREADY LIVE!" I mean come on, that is just hilarious! In my opinion, people in America need to stick to their own reality. Quit living in fantasy worlds! God gave you a fabulous life for you to live on your own. Play with the hand you are dealt and quit trying to steal other players cards!
