Facebook/Fakebook

I too am an avid Facebooker. I log on multiple times per day whether it's from my phone or MacBook. I post status updates, "like" pictures/other stats, post pics, etc. However, I consider myself as a REAL user. Facebook has allowed me to stay connected and network with family, friends, former teachers, etc. I often post encouraging status updates or even updates that let others learn about a small portion of my life. I sometimes put things in all caps or use asterisks to put emphasis on some of my content...again I'm REAL.

What does it really mean to be a FAKEbooker? I often think I know what it is. I've witnessed a few of my peers portray a "Facebook image," but in reality be the total opposite of what they attempt to be. I see them update their status to something extremely drama filled, yet in public are the most courteous individuals you would ever meet. Fake? Or is that being cool, their self? You write the status and you are judged. You post the pic and you are analyzed. Who's to say the person looking isn't fake? No one. Be yourself. Post for yourself. Facebook. Fakebook. Y..O..U
